From install to live output

01

Install VICREO Timer

  • Download the installer that matches your platform from the downloads page.
  • On macOS, open the DMG and drag VICREO Timer into Applications. On Windows, run the EXE installer. On Linux, install the DEB package.
  • Launch the app. If your OS asks for first-run confirmation, approve the app and continue.
02

Prepare your output

  • Use the built-in second-window toggle when you want operator controls on one screen and the clean timer output on another.
  • Adjust background color, background image, spacing, and timer arrangement before sending the output live.
  • Create the exact combination of timers you need for the show: countdowns, current time, count-up, countdown-to-time, or message.
03

Connect show-control sources

  • QLab timers connect over OSC with an IP address and passcode.
  • Pixera and Watchout timers connect to their live show-control APIs using the target IP and port.
  • Keynote and PowerPoint workflows can follow presentation state and slide-video timing from the VICREO bridge tools.
04

Remote control and automation

  • Use the built-in HTTP API to read state, toggle the output window, select timers, and send the same key behavior operators use locally.
  • The app exposes health, state, timer, settings, and SSE event endpoints for integration into broader control systems.
  • Keyboard entry is optimized for speed: type digits right-to-left, hit Enter to start, Escape to reset, and Backspace to edit.
